Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A fisherman by Antoine Bofill was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,550.00 (€ 1,354.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Bofill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanisharabe En Prière in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,854.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A fisherman von Antoine Bofill im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.550,00 (€ 1.354,66) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antoine Bofill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spanisharabe En Prière im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.854,46).
