Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Porte St. Denis by Antoine Blanchard was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 5,075.00 (€ 4,310.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antoine Blanchard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Place de la Madelaine; and Une marché aux fleurs in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 22,325.00 (€ 32,082.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Porte St. Denis von Antoine Blanchard wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.075,00 (€ 4.310,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antoine Blanchard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Place de la Madelaine; and Une marché aux fleurs im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.325,00 (€ 32.082,24).
