In April 2000 Christies in London held the auction 19C European Art, which included the work Grapes, apples, cherries, a quince, gooseberries, plums, a poppy and other flowers in a basket, and a walnut, strawberries, a marigold, plums, apricots and grapes on a marble ledge by Anthony Oberman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,337.50 (€ 21,121.30), 54% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anthony Oberman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Roses, lilies, a sheaf of wheat, morning glories and other flowers in a sculpted urn, with a pineapple, red gooseberries, grapes, peaches and apricots on a marble ledge sold at auction in May 2014 with the realized price of EUR 27,500.00.

Im April 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19C European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grapes, apples, cherries, a quince, gooseberries, plums, a poppy and other flowers in a basket, and a walnut, strawberries, a marigold, plums, apricots and grapes on a marble ledge von Anthony Oberman zur Versteigerung kam.
