Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An abundant bouquet of pink roses, tulips, irises and rhododendrons in a vase with a goldfinch and fruits by Anthony Oberman was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 7,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Oberman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, lilies, a sheaf of wheat, morning glories and other flowers in a sculpted urn, with a pineapple, red gooseberries, grapes, peaches and apricots on a marble ledge, which sold at auction in May 2014 for EUR 27,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An abundant bouquet of pink roses, tulips, irises and rhododendrons in a vase with a goldfinch and fruits von Anthony Oberman kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion.
