Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anthony James could be acquired at Bonhams in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Birch Sculpture changed hands for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,409.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony James achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Great Rhombicosidodecahedron in March last year with an auction result of USD 302,400.00 (€ 272,604.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony James konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Birch Sculpture für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 4.409,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony James erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Great Rhombicosidodecahedron im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 302.400,00 (€ 272.604,35).
