Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sketch on the Cornish coast by Anthony Carey Stannus was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental auction at Christies in London in December 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 660.00 (€ 957.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Carey Stannus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Views in Mexico – an album of twenty views in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 43,497.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sketch on the Cornish coast von Anthony Carey Stannus wurde im Dezember 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 660,00 (€ 957,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Carey Stannus erzielen.
