This work of art by Anthonie Victoryns could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work The schoolroom changed hands for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,081.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Anthonie Victoryns have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2008 by the work Le Repos Des Paysans at EUR 6,875.00.
