It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,891.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Admittedly, works by Anselmo de Guinea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Women on a Terrace, Capri in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 51,565.20).

Die Arbeit Courting on the Capri shore von Anselmo de Guinea wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.891,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anselmo de Guinea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Women on a Terrace, Capri im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.725,00 (€ 51.565,20).
