Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work An Italian girl with a mandolin by Anselmo de Guinea. The price achieved of GBP 376.00 (€ 629.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anselmo de Guinea achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women on a Terrace, Capri in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 51,565.20).

Im September 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Italian girl with a mandolin von Anselmo de Guinea zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 376,00 (€ 629,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anselmo de Guinea erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women on a Terrace, Capri im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.725,00 (€ 51.565,20).
