Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bust portrait of a monk in profile by Anselm Feuerbach was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,101.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anselm Feuerbach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German Medea An Der Urne (Medea) in November 2009 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 500,401.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bust portrait of a monk in profile von Anselm Feuerbach kam im September 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.101,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anselm Feuerbach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit German Medea An Der Urne (Medea) im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 457.250,00 (€ 500.401,18).
