In the Ansel Adams and the American West auction, the work Moon And Half Dome, Yosemite National Park, California, 1960 sold for USD 106,250.00 (€ 88,320.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ansel Adams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
