Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale, which included the work Shop Between 10 & 4 by Annie Gertrude Fletcher. The price achieved of GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,476.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Annie Gertrude Fletcher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shop Between Ten & Four, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,987.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shop Between 10 & 4 von Annie Gertrude Fletcher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.476,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Annie Gertrude Fletcher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shop Between Ten & Four beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.987,50) versteigert wurde.
