This artwork by Annie Cabigting achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Painting After Chabet sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,986.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annie Cabigting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Conditions of the Feminine in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 159,474.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Annie Cabigting erzielte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Painting After Chabet für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.986,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Annie Cabigting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Conditions of the Feminine im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 159.474,54).
