Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of a boy by Anna Ancher was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,400.00 (€ 321.57). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Ancher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Little girls having a tea party in Nordstuen (the north-facing living room) in Anchers' house on Markvej, Skagen in December this year with an auction result of DKK 550,000.00 (€ 73,784.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of a boy von Anna Ancher im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.400,00 (€ 321,57) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Ancher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Little girls having a tea party in Nordstuen (the north-facing living room) in Anchers' house on Markvej, Skagen im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 550.000,00 (€ 73.784,13).
