Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Belgian Untitled by Ann Veronica Janssens was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 8,750.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ann Veronica Janssens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stella, which sold at auction in April 2019 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,082.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Belgian Untitled von Ann Veronica Janssens im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 8.750,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ann Veronica Janssens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stella beobachtet, die im April 2019 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.082,22) versteigert wurde.
