In May 2017 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Backyard, 2014 by Anja Niemi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,029.84), 31% above the upper estimate. Other works by Anja Niemi have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,963.90) in May 2018 for the work The Secretary, 2013.
