A top price for Angelo Zoffoli - as previously expected
In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures, which included the work Cardinals studying a map by Angelo Zoffoli. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,770.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cardinals studying a map is the most expensive artwork by Angelo Zoffoli that we have observed at auctions so far.
