Upper estimate price exceeded by 41 %.
The work Strada Sul Litorale by Angelo Morbelli was sold in the XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures auction at Sothebys in Milan in December 2008. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,250.00 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Angelo Morbelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vecchie Calzette in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Strada Sul Litorale von Angelo Morbelli wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.250,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Angelo Morbelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vecchie Calzette im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 341.000,00 (€ 398.684,33).
