In May 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Retrato De German Cueto by Angelina Beloff. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 25,706.94), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Angelina Beloff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nature Morte À La Bombonne in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 123,484.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Retrato De German Cueto von Angelina Beloff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 25.706,94) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelina Beloff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nature Morte À La Bombonne im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 123.484,51).
