This artwork by Angel Otero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work All Smiles sold for HKD 1,905,000.00 (€ 223,056.02) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Angel Otero; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Figuring You Out sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of USD 327,600.00 (€ 317,349.61).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Angel Otero erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit All Smiles für HKD 1.905.000,00 (€ 223.056,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Angel Otero; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Figuring You Out im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 317.349,61).
