A top price for Angel Espoy - as previously expected
The work Poppies and Eucalyptus by Angel Espoy was auctioned at Christies in Los Angeles in June 2002. The price achieved of USD 10,157.50 (€ 10,305.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Poppies and Eucalyptus is the most expensive artwork by Angel Espoy that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Poppies and Eucalyptus von Angel Espoy kam im Juni 2002 bei Christies in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.157,50 (€ 10.305,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Poppies and Eucalyptus das teuerste Kunstwerk von Angel Espoy, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
