This artwork by Andy Warhol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2018. In the Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection auction, the work Detail Of The Last Supper sold for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 168,469.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andy Warhol erzielte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection wurde die Arbeit Detail Of The Last Supper für GBP 150.000,00 (€ 168.469,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen.
