Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dennis Hopper, 1977 by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,641.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Dennis Hopper, 1977 von Andy Warhol kam im November 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.641,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00.
