In April 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection, which included the work Staircase, The Jay Walker Library of the History of Human Imagination, 2007 by Andrew Moore. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,927.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andrew Moore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Rouge from Detroit Disassembled in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 62,315.38).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Staircase, The Jay Walker Library of the History of Human Imagination, 2007 von Andrew Moore zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.927,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrew Moore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Rouge from Detroit Disassembled im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 62.315,38).
