Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Palace Theater by Andrew Moore was auctioned at Phillips in 17 - in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,064.00 (€ 3,687.84). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rouge from Detroit Disassembled in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 62,315.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Palace Theater von Andrew Moore im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 17 - versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.064,00 (€ 3.687,84) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Moore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rouge from Detroit Disassembled im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 62.315,38).
