Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andrew Macara could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Goats, Rolleston-on-Dove changed hands for GBP 504.00 (€ 749.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Andrew Macara have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Forêt Fouesnent, Brittany in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,459.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Macara konnte im August 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Goats, Rolleston-on-Dove für GBP 504,00 (€ 749,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrew Macara auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Forêt Fouesnent, Brittany im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.500,00 (€ 7.459,72).
