Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andrew F. Affleck could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction, the work Stirling Castle changed hands for GBP 83.65 (€ 118.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew F. Affleck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Into Harbor, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 625.00 (€ 449.03).
