Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Swans On A Lake With Windsor Castle Beyond by Andrew Benjamin Donaldson was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 318.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Benjamin Donaldson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fountain of Love in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,343.28).
