Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three Works From Touching The City Series by Andrey Chezhin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,604.87). Admittedly, works by Andrey Chezhin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Square; Black Square, Gray Square, Red Square, Blue Square, Yellow Square, Green Square, Brown Square And Multi-Colour Square Series in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,589.74).
