Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andreas Achenbach could be acquired at Christies in London in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art auction, the work Boats on a canal, moonlight changed hands for GBP 9,450.00 (€ 10,886.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andreas Achenbach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Farewell To The Fleet in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 97,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andreas Achenbach konnte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and European Art wechselte die Arbeit Boats on a canal, moonlight für GBP 9.450,00 (€ 10.886,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andreas Achenbach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Farewell To The Fleet im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 97.500,00.
