This artwork by Andrea Vaccaro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2004. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Saint John the Baptist sold for GBP 14,340.00 (€ 21,670.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Vaccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lot And His Daughters in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 356,725.58).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrea Vaccaro erzielte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit Saint John the Baptist für GBP 14.340,00 (€ 21.670,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Vaccaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lot And His Daughters im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 356.725,58).
