Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Bacchanal With A Wine-Press (B. 19; H. 4; Martineau 74) by Andrea Mantegna was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,532.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Mantegna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Triumph Of Alexandria in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 11,654,000.00 (€ 10,505,724.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Bacchanal With A Wine-Press (B. 19; H. 4; Martineau 74) von Andrea Mantegna kam im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.532,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Mantegna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Triumph Of Alexandria im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.654.000,00 (€ 10.505.724,33).
