Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by André Marfaing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in December this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Sans titre - 1977 sold for EUR 19,680.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by André Marfaing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans Titre in June last year with an auction result of EUR 151,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von André Marfaing erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sans titre - 1977 für EUR 19.680,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Marfaing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans Titre im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 151.200,00.
