Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Burlesque Dancer (Magda Förstner), Paris, 1926 by André Kertész was sold in the Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection auction at Christies in Sydney in November this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,930.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Kertész achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atelier Mondrian, Paris in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 314,000.00 (€ 370,021.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Burlesque Dancer (Magda Förstner), Paris, 1926 von André Kertész wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.930,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Kertész erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Atelier Mondrian, Paris im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.000,00 (€ 370.021,21).
