This artwork by André Eugène Louis Chochon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2015. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Bateaux de pêche sur la plage sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,073.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by André Eugène Louis Chochon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot St Cast sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,765.11).
