Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges, which included the work Double Portrait by André Bicât. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 534.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André Bicât - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Window of Light, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,328.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges durch, in der auch die Arbeit Double Portrait von André Bicât zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 534,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von André Bicât mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Window of Light beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.328,68) versteigert wurde.
