Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Untitled', July 1983 by Ana Mendieta was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,864.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ana Mendieta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (From the Fetish Series) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 134,065.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Untitled', July 1983 von Ana Mendieta wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.864,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ana Mendieta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (From the Fetish Series) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 134.065,98).
