Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Needed Global Harmony by Amon Kotei. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 6,995.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Amon Kotei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2019 the work Standing female figure was auctioned for GBP 10,687.00 (€ 12,396.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Needed Global Harmony von Amon Kotei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 6.995,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Amon Kotei konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2019 die Arbeit Standing female figure für GBP 10.687,00 (€ 12.396,15) versteigert.
