Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Post Visit Palestine by Amer Shomali was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,525.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Amer Shomali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pixelated Intifada, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 45,000.00 (€ 41,895.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Post Visit Palestine von Amer Shomali wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.525,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Amer Shomali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pixelated Intifada beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 45.000,00 (€ 41.895,54) versteigert wurde.
