Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Portrait Of Madame Gandrillas And Her Children, Marie-Rose, Carmen And Juana by Ambrose McEvoy. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,212.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Ambrose McEvoy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work Portrait of Dorothy Duveen, Three-Quarter Length, Seated On A Red Chair was auctioned for GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,588.14).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.212,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
