Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online, which included this untitled work by Amani Bodo. The price achieved of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,281.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amani Bodo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Radeau De La Méduse, 2021 in May last year with an auction result of EUR 34,112.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Amani Bodo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.281,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amani Bodo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Radeau De La Méduse, 2021 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 34.112,00.
