Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Busy Morning by Aloysius O'Kelly was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2010. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,645.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aloysius O'Kelly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Load Of Turf, Connemara, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.645,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Aloysius O'Kelly mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Load Of Turf, Connemara beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69) versteigert wurde.
