Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work A Street In Cairo by Aloysius O'Kelly. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,858.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aloysius O'Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Load Of Turf, Connemara in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Street In Cairo von Aloysius O'Kelly zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.858,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aloysius O'Kelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Load Of Turf, Connemara im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69).
