This artwork by Alois Arnegger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2007. In the 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures auction, the work A village before I Faraglione, Capri sold for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,418.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alois Arnegger; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bucht Picolla Marina. sold at auction in March 2007 with the realized price of CHF 24,000.00 (€ 14,797.67).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alois Arnegger; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bucht Picolla Marina. im März 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von CHF 24.000,00 (€ 14.797,67).
