The work Deformietes Quadrat - 1958 by Almir da Silva Mavignier was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 23,616.00 57% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Almir da Silva Mavignier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vorn Und Hinten 7 (Para Frente E Para Atrás 7) in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 179,613.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 57 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Deformietes Quadrat - 1958 von Almir da Silva Mavignier wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 23.616,00 und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Almir da Silva Mavignier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vorn Und Hinten 7 (Para Frente E Para Atrás 7) im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 179.613,83).
