Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alkis Pierrakos could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Greek Nature Morte Aux Fruits changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,505.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alkis Pierrakos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Abstracts, which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,519.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alkis Pierrakos konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Greek Nature Morte Aux Fruits für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.505,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alkis Pierrakos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Abstracts beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.519,57) versteigert wurde.
