Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 736.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alix Duval - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Corteggiamento, which sold at auction in December 2003 for EUR 1,612.00.
