Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled I by Alireza Dayani was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 100.00 (€ 111.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alireza Dayani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,651.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled I von Alireza Dayani im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 100,00 (€ 111,41) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alireza Dayani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.651,25).
