Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Surrealist Composition by Aline Gagnaire for USD 625.00 (€ 551.97). This price was achieved in the auction Selections from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Aline Gagnaire have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2018 by the work La transformation at USD 1,000.00 (€ 883.16).
