Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mappa by Alighiero Boetti was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 1,835,000.00 (€ 1,625,764.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alighiero Boetti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tutto, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 6,060,000.00 (€ 5,870,386.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mappa von Alighiero Boetti kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.835.000,00 (€ 1.625.764,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alighiero Boetti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tutto beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 6.060.000,00 (€ 5.870.386,52) versteigert wurde.
